Be A Leader and Reading is Cool
Now in its third year, the Be A Leader Program targets students in grades four through six via assembly style presentations. The program emphasizes the importance of leadership both in and
out of the classroom, while fostering education, teamwork, confidence, trust, motivation and decision making skills. Last Year the program reached over 2,500 students in Central Massachusetts.
The Reading is Cool program is a free literary program geared towards the younger student and conducted within the classroom. The program utilizes many components to promote the importance
of reading, including the popular storytime with a Worcester Sharks player.
For more details and booking infomation on both programs, please contact Mike Myers, Director of Public Relations for the Worcester Sharks at: MMyers@sharksahl.com
In addition to our school programs, we also host a Community Service Day. Each year the staff of
both Abigail Williams and the Worcester Sharks choose a school to revamp. This past year, with
help from Consigli Construction, we built a new walkway, painted an ABC and United States Mural
and beautified the grounds at the Elm Park School.
